Donna High
School MCJROTC Cadets Compete in 10
kilometers Run/Walk
![]() Donna, Texas (February 4, 2006) -- The Donna Independent School District's Marine Corps Junior ROTC participated in the 24th All-American City 10-K Run/Walk Marathon in Edinburgh, Texas. The cadets placed third overall in a formation run competing against other JROTC schools throughout the Rio Grande Valley area. In the 3rd Annual Employee Foundation 5K Fun/Run marathon held on February 18, 2006, at the Donna City Park, the cadets took first place.
Field Exercises
at Marine Military Academy
![]() Donna, Texas (March 4, 2006) -- The Donna Marine JROTC visited the Marine Military Academy (MMA) located in Harlingen, Texas to participate in numerous field exercises such as the cope rope course, rappelling, zip line, power pole, and high element/low element. The motivated cadets of Donna High School MCJROTC faced all the challenges and overcame their fears with the various types of obstacles. The cadets finished up the day by having fun at the paint ball arena. The Donna MCJROTC Cadets visit the MMA twice each school year. Much thanks and appreciation goes to the Marine Military Academy for their unselfish dedication in offering their time and effort to make all this possible this November and March.

Parade with Local Veterans
Donna, Texas (March 11, 2006) -- The Donna Marine Corps Junior ROTC Cadets participated in the Mercedes Livestock Show Parade on March 11, 2006. The float represented the present, the past, and the future of our Military history from WWII, Korea, Viet-Nam, Desert Storm, Afghanistan, and Iraqi Freedom. The cadets felt much honored to be part of the parade. The cadets were amazed to hear the interesting war stories by the defenders of freedom.
