Mountain Grove Marine Corps JROTC Trip to NAS Pensacola
Pensacola, FL (May, 2010) -- “Join the Navy, See the World” The Mountain Grove High School Marine Corps JROTC unit was recently able to join the Willard Navy JROTC unit and see parts of Naval Air Station Pensacola in a one-day trip to the Florida base.

At least, that’s the way four and five-year cadets would see it the week of September 28th through October 2nd aboard SgtMaj Wilson’s Marksman/Sharpshooter/Expert Course. 0610 these well-fed, sharply dressed lads reported to MMA’s Gilmore Marksmanship Training Center.

New MCJROTC Unit at Ardrey Kell High School
Charlotte, NC (Sept, 2009) -- Ardrey Kell High is the only school in CMS with a Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) program.  On Aug. 20, during the school’s freshman open house, the unit presented the colors for the first time in school history – and in CMS history.

2008/2009 Clearwater High School Highlights
Clearwater, FL (2008/2009 School Year) -- Clearwater High School MCJROTC Unit, located in Clearwater Florida, was the recipient of the MCJROTC Region 2 Marine Corps Reserve Association (MCRA) Award for school year 2008-2009.  Commanded by COl Mike Davis and GySgt David Miller, Clearwater High School MCJROTC has consistantly been a strong competitor for this award over the years and is indicative of the outstanding sustained performance of the Unit.

MCJROTC Region 3 Newsletter
MCJROTC Region 3 (Oct, 2009) -- Cadet Major Cameron Cronin was born in the rural town of Pacific, Mis-souri. His incredible work ethic and resolute moral character were developed and tested in this small community. At an early age, his grandfather is credited with igniting the "military" spark which now burns brightly within this young man’s soul. The JROTC unit at Pa-cific High School has con-tinued to fuel this passion as Cadet Cronin now leads Pacific High School MCJROTC into its third consecutive year as a Naval Honor School. This past summer was packed with leadership challenges for Cameron.

Mountain Grove High School Panther Throw-Down S2S Air Rifle Match
Mountain Grove, MO (23-24 Oct, 2009) -- The Mountain Grove MCJROTC hosted its inaugural Panther Throw-Down Shoulder to Shoulder Air Rifle Match the 23rd and 24th of October.  Six schools and over 60 cadets participated in the match, one team coming as far away as Des Moines, Iowa.
