Cadet Colonel Elizabeth Gerrity

Lynn English High School gerrity

 

Cadet Colonel Gerrity is the Commanding Officer of her MCJROTC unit, the Senior Class Vice President, and the student Council Vice President. She has also been the Commander of the Unarmed Drill Team for the past three years. Under her command, the team placed 1st in the nation in the Challenge Level at the National High School Drill Team Championships, Daytona Beach, FL in 2004 and 2005. Cadet Colonel Gerrity also placed 2nd in the nation as the best, Unarmed Drill Team Commander in the nation for 2004 and again in 2005.

Cadet Colonel Gerrity is much more then just a drill team commander. She is an active force in the program, setting the example at all times through her actions and setting a tone of mentoring and helping the younger cadets to achieve their goals.

Elizabeth has completed hundreds of hours of community service during her time in MCJROTC for such events as Toys for Tots, Walk for Cerebral Palsy, Walk for Cancer, Red Cross Blood Drive, food drives, clothing drives, Relay for Life, My Brothers Table, and Operation Christmas Child just to name a few.

She was promoted to the rank of Cadet Colonel in November and is planning to attend college after graduation. She has been accepted to numerous schools and is now in the process of choosing which one she will attend.
