Cadet Colonel Kimberly
Salazar

My name is Kimberly Salazar serving as the Cadet
Battalion Commander of MCJROTC at
Orange High School.
This is my fourth year in MCJROTC. Billets I
have held in the past include cadet
Squad Leader,
Platoon Guide, Platoon Commander, and Rifle Team
Commander. During the past three years I have
attended all the cadet fieldtrips the program
has offered. For example Zodiac boat training
and visiting Camp Pendleton during
spring break and
Hawaii
Leadership Academy. For the past five years I
have volunteered at the
Rehabilitation Center here in
Orange County,
California that is for adults as well as
kids that are both physically and mentally
disabled. Other
volunteer work that I've done include
beach clean up, park clean up,
Toys for Tots,
Adopt a Rose, helping at the Discovery Science
Center, helping in a Retiring Home, and at a
pre-school. I graduate June 2010 after that I
will report to Recruit Training at Marine Corps
Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina to
become a United States
Marine. My goals
for the future is to major in psychology and
sociology so I can become a
Social Worker. I
also want to become part of
Los Angeles Police
Department k-9 unit once I'm out of the
Marine Corps.
